-Coordinate testing of HVAC equipment in various test setups and psychrometric chambers. -Ensures that tests are performed according to AAON standard operating procedures. -Work with Lab Operations to ensure the test chamber and equipment are functioning properly and are in calibration. -Work with Product Engineering to provide feedback on product compliance to appropriate standards. -Develop and review test plans to ensure appropriate standards requirements are met. -Make recommendations on product design in order to meet standards requirements. -Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure. -Provide technical support to Lab Technicians to ensure quality and consistency. -Participate in inspections by safety listing agencies and other organizations required for code compliance. -Read and understand safety and performance standards, technical manuals, instructions, and criteria. -Communicate with certification agencies to maintain product listings. -Analyzes test data to determine the product meets defined requirements DOE, ASHRAE, ASME, ISO, ASHARAE, and other standards. -Travels, when necessary, for testing at agency location or product review at field test sites. -Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.
-Education or experience related to safety certification standards as they relate to HVAC OEM equipment is an added advantage for career development. -Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem solving abilities. -Works effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment. -Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills. -Communicates effectively in written and spoken form. -Four-year ABET accredited degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree in Applied Sciences. -Works effectively in a team environment. -Lift up to 50lbs. -Minimum of 3-5 years in the HVAC industry or equivalent experience in a similar industry. -Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.
