Lead and mentor service technicians in HVAC, boiler, plumbing, and electrical projects.

Tasks
-Ensure technicians adhere to all legal, regulatory compliance, safety and risk management policies and procedures. -Supervise/mentor the work of the service technicians to better develop their technical skills and knowledge. -Coordinate with Service Operations Manager to develop technician training curriculum. -Review service tickets and other field paperwork. Assure time is correctly applied and descriptions of work are accurate and appropriate. Address and resolve any issues with technician. -Provide technical support and guidance to technicians as needed. -Assist in hiring and counseling employees, conducting group meetings and training employees. -Coordinate with account managers to discuss and fully understand customer scope of service prior to assuming responsibility for new maintenance contracts. -Visit other job sites to evaluate technician abilities and performance. Ensure field technicians are satisfactorily representing Brandt’s capabilities and furthering Brandt’s image to external customers. -Manage and direct assigned service technicians. Clearly communicate work responsibilities and accountabilities and ensure adherence to Brandt’s Service policies, procedures, and standards. -Assist with service quotes and estimates to support sales and growth initiatives. -Investigate customer complaints to help remedy the situation and promptly implement corrective measures as required. Escalate problem to next level of management when necessary. -Make periodic visits to sites with maintenance contracts. Ensure customers are satisfied with Brandt’s personnel and performance. -Manage the selection, ordering and delivery of supplies and equipment for technicians on assigned projects. -Assist sales staff, as requested, with collecting data necessary to assemble accurate and timely service estimates. -Monitor work performed on maintenance contracts to ensure costs remain at or below the predetermined amount.

What You Bring
-Solid MS Office skills and willingness to learn new software programs -Extensive (10+ years) experience performing service maintenance and repair work within the mechanical industry -High school degree or equivalent and successful completion of a trade/technical training program -Solid understanding of business/industry practices, processes, & standards -Ability to successfully lead a team and motivate workers -OSHA-30 certification (if not currently certified, must be obtained within six (6) months from date of hire) -Travel Requirements: Little to no overnight travel required -Strong organizational and problem-solving skills -Thorough understanding of and respect for safety and OSHA rules & regulations -Strong communication and interpersonal skills
