The Role
Overview
Lead product lifecycle, NPI, PRDs, and cross‑functional strategy for smart‑grid solutions

Tasks
-Supports R&D feasibility/traceability reviews -Works with Technical Training to develop Product Documentation and Training -Contributes to business reviews and planning sessions -Assists with the management of sustainment of existing product offerings -Independently manages strategic partnerships where appropriate -Works on assigned product dependencies and interrelationships to deliver a complete customer solution (hardware/software) rather than just a “Product” -Assists Subject Matter Expert for assigned products -Lead the complete product lifecycle of the assigned products -Work alongside cross functional teams to develop and execute the overall strategy for assigned products -Supports and adheres to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy. -Supports Landis+Gyr’s quality processes -Presents at industry events, internal sales meetings, Landis+Gyr’s Exchange, and customer specific meetings -Works in partnership with Project Management Organization (PMO) to manage cost and timeline expectations -Ensures all parts of the organization are properly educated on product feature/functionality -Presents to Executive Project Governance Boards for stage gate reviews and Change Controls -Represents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers. -Contributes to Landis+Gyr’s New Product Introduction (NPI) process. -Regular contact with Employees, External Customers, and/or Industry Contacts. -Interprets customer requirements and translates to clear product requirements and use cases in PRDs -Develops customer communications (e.g. Customer Information Letters, Product Updates, Release Notes)

-Physical Requirements: Typical office setting. Required to stand; walk; crouch; or handle objects. Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Ability to sit and view computer screen for long periods of time. Reasonable accommodations provided for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. -Organizational skills including prioritization, project management and resource deployment -Works on complex business cases -Proven leadership skills in mentoring and developing others -Thorough understanding of business fundamentals – roles of various departments in the organization: marketing, sales, economics, manufacturing, business management, engineering. -Understands market research for addressing market and/or business needs for a product, including awareness of market trends and direction. -Prior experience on IoT, Smart Grid and/or Telecom companies are considered differential, as well as Embedded Software management. -Required Minimum Level of Education: Bachelors Degree -Superior computer skills including Microsoft Office applications for word processing, spreadsheets and presentations -Technical role experience related to the Product Segment being led. -Required/Desired Certifications: Formal Product Management training, such as Pragmatic Marketing, and/or New Product Introduction (NPI) process -Proven critical thinking and analytical skills -Desired Education/Experience: Bachelors degree; preferably in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field; Masters degree preferred -Required Minimum Years of Experience: 2+ to 5 -Ability to influence individuals and organizations not under a direct reporting relationship -Personal Protection Equipment/Other OHSAS-18001 Safety Requirements: Ensure the continued efforts and assist in achieving annual goals of health, safety, and environmental policies. Must be current with available OSHA/Safety Training provided by the Company. If required, must be able to work while wearing safety equipment such as hard hats, work boats, gloves, hearing protection, and others. -Driving Status: Will drive on business for the Company more than 6 times per year. -Represents Landis+Gyr in a positive, professional and enthusiastic manner when working with both external and internal customers -Proven ability to facilitate groups and/or teams -Effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience in public speaking -Deep understanding of marketing concepts/market research
