Performs and leads in-depth inspections using non-destructuve testing methods, mechanized access equipment and/or climbing gear.
Lead teams and groups in Structural Assessment, which may include providing general instruction, assigning and reviewing work, coaching and training, providing guidance and instruction in the proper and most efficient methods of accomplishing tasks, and providing input to the direct supervisor on staffing decisions and performance management.
Coordinates with bridge owners and other agencies on inspection schedules, traffic control, railroad access, navigational channels, etc.
Performs post-incident bridge inspections to determine severity of damage and recommendations appropriate actions with regard to bridge closures and detours.
Inspections of assigned bridges and preparation of written reports on the conditions of the structures.

Possess knowledge of bridge inspection methods and procedures.
Ability and experience to lead the work of others, communicate and maintain proper working relationships.
Experience with report procedures.
Must be able to perform inspections in the field with various means of access.
Any experience with National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) as a bridge inspection assistant and be Team Leader qualified with NHI.
ADCI Diver certification or SPRAT level 1 or higher is a plus depending on contracts you can be involved with
