Senior Accountant

Senior Property Accountant handling property financials, statements, and vendor payments.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Prepare and reconcile bank statements for each property -Assist with special projects and other accounting-related tasks as assigned -Review and process weekly property invoices for accuracy -Working with assigned accountants to train as needed -Provide support in various aspects of property accounting as needed -Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements in compliance with state laws, regulations, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) -Manage vendor payments based on due dates and available cash flow -Post monthly journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting -Monthly financial report review, supporting the Accounting Managers/CAO/CFO

This position will work from our East Memphis office and will work closely with Community Directors and other accounting staff. -Excellent communication skills -At least 3 years general ledger accounting experience -Strong attention to detail -Experience in property accounting is a PLUS -Savvy computer skills -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field -Organization and the ability to multitask
