Tasks

-Participation in the management of the Infrastructure Group in Toronto West Office -Review of preliminary and detailed design drawings, reviewing and supporting report-writing (e.g. Environmental Study Report, engineering studies), proposal writing -Supervise staff and participate directly in the completion of projects -Foster a spirit of enthusiasm and client focus -Lead and direct business development activities in the GTHA -Manage staff productivity and utilization -Mentor staff and project teams -Project coordination between other design disciplines, management of project schedule and budget

What You Bring

-Understanding of traffic engineering principles -Bachelor’s University Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university -Ability to work independently as well as in groups with a demonstrated ability to manage projects, project teams, and clients -Roadway preliminary or detailed design experience -Experience with Metrolinx, MTO, Region of Peel, York Region, and Halton Region are an asset -Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with commitment to excellence and high quality work -Familiar with construction inspection and preparation of reports -8+ years of Project Management experience as well as 8+ years of Transportation Engineering -Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads and Civil3D an asset -P.Eng. (Eligible for Membership with PEO) preferred -Familiarity with GTHA market conditions, public and private sector client base in and around the GTHA -Experience with preliminary and detailed design of municipal infrastructure, arterial roads, highways and freeways (alignments, geometrics, staging, traffic management, roadside safety) -Excellent technical verbal and written communication skills are expected -Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
