Tasks

You’ll be responsible for growing sales across your territory, building relationships with contractors, end users, consultants, hire companies, and key accounts in the power generation sector. -Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and solution recommendations. -Identify new business opportunities with contractors, facility managers, data centers, utilities, industrial clients, and commercial customers. -Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure accurate specifications, smooth delivery, and customer satisfaction. -Promote and sell diesel, LPG, or hybrid generator systems, including associated power distribution equipment. -Conduct site surveys to assess load requirements, installation conditions, access constraints, and customer needs. -Attend industry events, customer meetings, and site evaluations across the region. -Develop, manage, and grow a sales pipeline across the assigned territory.

What You Bring

Crossley Scott is working with a client who is seeking a highly motivated Area Sales Manager with proven experience in generator sales, power solutions, or temporary/permanent standby generation systems. This role is ideal for someone who understands critical power applications, thrives in a customer-facing environment, and is confident conducting on-site surveys to scope and design the right solution. -Full UK driving licence required. -Self-driven, highly organised, and able to manage regional travel. -Comfortable conducting site surveys and engaging with customers on technical and commercial needs. -Confident communicator with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills. -Proven experience in generator sales, power generation or temporary power is a must. -Strong understanding of generator sizing, load calculations, fuel systems, and installation requirements.
