Tasks

-Define structural systems and model designs using Revit, adhering to local, state, and federal codes, including UFC guidelines. -Lead teams of Structural Engineers and Designers on large-scale projects. -Interface directly with clients throughout design and construction phases. -Mentor and guide junior engineers in technical and professional development. -Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. -Participate in Construction Administration activities, including site visits and reviews, as needed. -Prepare, check, and review structural design calculations and system models. -Write forensic and investigative engineering reports.

What You Bring

-Experience designing structures for regions with hurricanes or high seismic activity. -Prior experience applying Federal Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) design guidelines. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. -Must be able to visually inspect construction sites, including climbing ladders, walking on uneven surfaces, and entering confined spaces as required for site visits. -Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Structural Engineer. -Professional Structural Engineer (SE) license. -Capable of occasional lifting up to 25 pounds (such as carrying drawings, field equipment, or laptops). -Field work may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions, active construction zones, and varying terrain. -Utilize advanced structural engineering software tools (RISA preferred). -Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. -Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods. -Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer and technical drawing work. -Proficiency with structural engineering software such as RISA 3D. -Must have adequate vision and hearing to perform design review and field inspection duties safely. -Occasional travel to project sites, client meetings, and construction locations is required (domestic or regional). -Must comply with all site safety requirements, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when applicable. -Willingness to learn Revit, if not already proficient. -Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. -Experience designing with structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, aluminum, and cold-formed steel. -Professional Engineer (PE) license.
