The Role

Overview

Oversee insulation crews, manage projects, ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance.

Tasks

-Organize and assign crew work methods, scheduling, and manpower. -Ensure crews have adequate manpower, insulation materials, and tools for each job. -Proactively communicate barriers to productivity, safety, or quality with management. -Manage and communicate change orders. -Support estimating and proposal efforts when required. -Identify and assign appropriate crews for each project based on scope. -Document and report project status, including progress, safety, and quality metrics. -Ensure insulation work areas are kept safe, clean, and organized. -Accurately track crew time and submit weekly timesheets. -Provide technical support and guidance to crew members in the field. -Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the company’s representative on-site. -Perform quality control checks on insulation installations. -Monitor and track job costing, productivity, and forecasting. -Direct and oversee insulation crews, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and safety standards. -Attend progress meetings and represent the company in a professional manner. -Communicate schedules and job expectations clearly to crew members. -Provide on-the-job training for new crew members. -Plan, coordinate, and track project milestones to ensure timely completion. -Enforce OSHA and company safety standards consistently. -Ensure insulation equipment is inspected and maintained in good condition. -Review work in progress daily and prepare look-ahead schedules. -Coordinate project logistics including material deliveries, equipment use, and labor needs. -Participate in pre-job walks and turnover meetings. -Lead daily huddles and safety meetings to identify potential risks and set productivity goals. -Maintain and inventory insulation materials, tools, and equipment.

What You Bring

-Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly. -Bilingual (English/Spanish). -Able to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, etc.) as required. -Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. -Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specs. -Able to travel daily to assigned job sites. -Able to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, confined spaces, heights). -Fall Protection Training required. -At least five (5) years of supervisory experience in insulation, construction, or related trade. -Able to walk, sit, stand, bend, kneel, squat, stretch, and climb ladders/scaffolds. -Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills. -Prior supervisory experience in commercial or industrial insulation. -High school diploma or GED required; advanced training preferred. -Ability to effectively manage and lead crews. -OSHA 30 Certification required. -Strong knowledge of insulation techniques, materials, and safety practices.
