Network Administrator

Overview

Manage and maintain OT network infrastructure, including fiber, LAN/WAN, SCADA, PTC.

Tasks

-Ensure preventative maintenance and emergency outage goals are resolved in an efficient manner. -Placing orders for materials and being responsible for equipment and material on site. -Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis. -Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. -Configuration and optimization of Solarwinds (NMS) network monitoring system. -Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness. -Directs operation and maintenance of OT network environment to include but not limited to the following: -Inventory responsibilities for all network equipment. -Triage network configuration error reports to responsible departments. -Studies and recommend improvements to network environment.

What You Bring

-SCADA Communication network -Frequently use a computer keyboard and office related equipment. -Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position. -Proven managerial and leadership skills -On-Track-Safety (OTS); General Code of Operating Rules (GCOR) preferred -Positive Train Control (PTC) network -Maintain a valid driver's license and endorsement as required per position. -High School diploma or equivalent. -Requires occasional standing, walking, lifting, stooping or bending. -Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review. -Expertise with the use of network equipment and fundamental knowledge of telecommunication systems (OSI model) -Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen. -Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position. -Fiber Optic backbone switch and router equipment -Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position. -Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position.
