Tasks
-Build confidence in our designs and capabilities with clients. -Help grow the power market and expand LSC’s footprint in the energy sector. -Provide leadership and guidance to the electrical engineering team, mentoring staff and growing technical expertise in the power discipline. -Recognize business development opportunities and contribute to proposal writing, cost estimates, and client presentations. -Communicate and coordinate project activities with project management, customer representatives, and stakeholders. -Develop specifications for procurement, installation, and testing of electrical equipment. -Partner with clients in Oil & Gas, Renewables, and Distributed Power to deliver innovative solutions. -Work with project teams to create design documents and drawings, including power and controls drawings, reports, calculations, and associated documentation. -Oversee design reviews, perform engineering calculations, studies, reports, and field investigations. -Mentor the next generation of electrical engineers. -Play a key role in strengthening client relationships by serving as a trusted technical partner. -Interface with electrical utility providers to design service interconnects. -Manage project scope changes, identify risks, and develop contingency plans. -Provide leadership and mentorship to our electrical and power engineering team. -Play a leadership role in growing our Power Engineering market. -Lead moderate to large sized projects, making technical recommendations and decisions on complex issues. -Frequently interact with clients, vendors, and contractors to build confidence in LSC’s technical solutions. -Apply electrical engineering software (SKM, ETAP, etc.) for modeling and analysis.

What You Bring
-Experience with high, medium, and low voltage power systems, protective relay schemes, switchgear, MCCs, drives, and power distribution equipment is desired. -Substation design experience a plus. -Industrial electrical control system and/or power system design experience strongly preferred. -Ability to travel (approx. 10%) for field information gathering and client meetings. -Familiarity with codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, API, AGA). -Proven technical leadership with experience mentoring teams. -Strong communication, presentation, and follow-up skills. -Knowledge of electrical area classification (hazardous areas). -Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering. -Ability to build client confidence through technical expertise and relationship-building. -Proficiency with SKM, ETAP, or other electrical analysis software. -10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience. -Professional Engineer (PE) license required. -Direct experience with industrial facilities and energy industry projects (Oil & Gas, Renewables, Distributed Power). -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -Collaborative mindset, with a willingness to mentor and learn. -Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize workload for yourself and others. -Experience with design of control systems, PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, and network architectures preferred.
