Tasks

-Review project specifications, drawings, and scope requirements to develop accurate cost estimates. -Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance with safety and industry standards. -Support project teams with budgeting and forecasting for electrical service contracts. -Source and negotiate pricing with material vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive estimates. -Assist in proposal preparation, bid submissions, and customer presentations. -Collaborate with Sales and Business Development teams to assess customer needs and project feasibility. -Stay up-to-date on industry trends, labor rates, and material cost fluctuations. -Develop comprehensive estimates for electrical service work, including labor, materials, subcontractors, and other project costs. -Maintain detailed records of estimates, vendor pricing, and project cost data for future reference. -Work with field teams to gather site-specific data for accurate pricing.

What You Bring

-Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices. -Strong mathematical and analytical skills for precise cost assessment. -Electrical field experience is required. -Familiarity with electrical service contracts and maintenance agreements. -Excellent communication and organizational skills. -Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents. -Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and estimating software. -Experience in cost estimation for electrical services or construction projects. -Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus. -Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines effectively. -Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors. -Experience working with estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, or similar. -Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical estimating or a related field.
