Civil Drafting Intern

Overview

Draft layout and schematic drawings for construction projects using AutoCAD/Revit.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Evaluates layout drawings to ensure drawings comply with engineering requirements, Company standards and project contract specifications. -Performs additional assignments per management’s direction. -Supports published Drafting Standards and corporate policies. -Analyzes sketches, notes, and other input materials to determine best approach to complete drawings using Company approved software and programs. -Develops detailed drawings to accurately and completely describe construction design intent and critical elements. -Calculates quantities and dimensions within procedural and standard practice limitations. -Prepares layout drawings of tolerances, dimensions, materials and technical project data based on Construction Engineer guidance and design specifications.

What You Bring

-Knowledge and understanding of constructability and construction practices. -Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan. -Intermediate Knowledge of AutoCAD required. -Self-motivated and able to self-prioritize within management guidelines. -Construction Experience Preferred -Currently earned or in the process of earning Technical degree or Associate’s degree in Computer Aided Design or related technical field required. -Ability to read and understand project plans -Verbal, written and technical communication skills required. -Intermediate Knowledge of Civil 3D and other 3D rendering software preferred
