The Role

Overview

Manages daily GL entries, month‑end close, statements and reconciliations.

Tasks

-Maintain proper documentation and audit evidence is organized and accounted for within the department -Prepare journal entries and maintain balance sheet schedules and ledgers -Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, recognition, mutual respect, and Member satisfaction -Prepare monthly account reconciliations -Assist with financial statement review, discrepancies, and inquiry research with partnering departments to promote Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) success -Prepare report packages required internally and externally -Generate accurate and timely monthly financial statements and support in the month-end close process -Adhere to deadlines, time constraints, and efficient request responses -Ensure accounting records and practices adhere to G.A.A.P and company policies and remain standard across all business units

What You Bring

-Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information -Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends -Professional appearance and demeanor -Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or accounting or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of Company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures -Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, such as technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents -Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines -Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner -Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) -Excellent organizational skills; be able to function under time constraints and deadlines with attention to detail -Ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers -Six (6) months prior experience in an accounting position, preferably for a large-scale, luxury resort -Ability to gather, synthesize, and analyze data and draw logical conclusions -Ability to respond and adapt quickly to changing work situations and environments. -Strong supervisory and leadership skills -Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with guests, management, Members, and other outside contacts -Ability to exercise professional discretion and judgment
