Materials Inspector

Tasks

-Monitor the performance of material delivery and accuracy of materials used on site -Coordination with contractor’s supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence and method of work -Ensure and monitory compliance with the contractor’s schedule -Attend and lead inspections on site as required -General oversight of the contractor’s daily activities including works assignments, on-site performance and guidance on the contractor’s operations. -Review and approval of the contractor’s proposed materials and methods as instructed by the Senior Resident Engineer. -Review of contractor’s testing requests and following completed reports. -Preparation of reports to the Resident Engineer on contractual and procedural matters. -Review and approve the contractor’s submissions -Follow up testing and approvals from the relevant authorities -Continuous field inspections of the work in the progress; consultation with both the Resident Engineer’s and Contractor’s supervision staff

What You Bring

-Use clear and frequent communications, drive execution and results. -Proven experience of working on large infrastructure and/or Landscape projects in the region -Good knowledge of local materials standards -Bachelors qualified with an engineering degree in a relevant discipline -Experience in large construction programmes and design-and-build contracts -Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. -Know how to prioritize, advocate focus and accountability
