The Role

Overview

Schedule and dispatch orders, coordinate deliveries, and provide customer service.

Tasks

-Act as customer contact for delivery inquiries and coordinate the sales order delivery process. -Schedule workforce (drivers) on a daily basis with the intention of maximizing service and minimizing costs; manage drivers and monitor efficiencies throughout the day. -Will be required to help facilitate scheduling for the following day. Including but not limited to: Evaluating next days business and making proper adjustments to ensure success on behalf of our customers and company. -Will be required to train and help in our shipping operation as needed. -Ensure customers understand all relevant company policies including will calls, additional products ordered and driver responsibilities. -Review next day orders to ensure they are correctly mapped, have accurate travel times, address and delivery instructions. -Schedule and optimize trucks and fleet for the following day ensuring successful and safe deliveries for our customers and company. -Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. -Including but not limited to sending trucks to orders as needed using Command and Command Track. -Inform customers of warnings concerning product hazards, load limits, vehicle weights and limitations. -Ensuring that plants are in capacity and able to deliver concrete successfully on a daily basis. -Manage incoming internal and external customer phone calls, exercising judgment within specification of standard practices.

What You Bring

-Required Education: High School diploma/GED -Experience using dispatch and trucking software preferred. -Required Technical Skills: Must have refined computer skills including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the internet. -Required Work Experience: 3-5 years -Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic experience using computers and software. -Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
