Supervise road surfacing projects, manage team, resources, safety, and profitability.

Tasks

-Continuously reviewing and improving methods to reduce materials and waste on site including control of any remedial action required -Communicating and implementing all area initiatives to deliver local targets and optimising cost control and operational efficiency to achieve agreed budget -Maximising operational effectiveness and efficiency understanding how a contract has been priced and agreeing and reviewing teams targets to maximise profitability -Managing site operations to ensure works are completed to the highest standard, complying with contract specification and preventing remedial action -Management and development of the team, appraising and agreeing SMART objectives for site operatives and motivating them to achieve the highest level of performance -Ensuring Health and Safety policies and procedures are always adhered to by all on site -Communicate effectively, developing relationships with internal and external customers in relation to all site requirements -Efficient allocation and supervision of resources, plant staff and subcontractors to ensure delivery of contracts -Conduct Weekly Programme meeting and monthly Supervisors meetings

What You Bring

-SMSTS preferred (minimum SSSTS) -Ability to initiate improvement -Communicating effectively daily with gang/ Foreperson carrying out daily briefings -Knowledgeable and adhere to company Health and Safety policies and procedures -Confidence and self-motivation to work independently but also as part of a team -CSCS qualification (preferred) -Experienced in project work, ideally on motorways (preferred) -Strong communication skills with proven experience engaging with people of varying seniority levels both internally and externally -Proven ability of successfully supervising and developing a team -Customer focussed approach
