Manages AP tasks, matching invoices to PO, ensures timely payments, mentors staff.

Tasks

-Processing of non-PO invoices as applicable. -Submitting invoices for approval through designated workflows. -Generating invoice aging reports to ensure all invoices are being processed. -Following up with approvals to ensure invoices are paid on time. -Matching supplier invoices to the Purchase Order line items in the Purchasing system, in accordance with the Payment Schedule. -Interfacing with critical stakeholders to ensure payments are made on time, including Project Managers, Procurement staff, Finance Shared Services, etc. -Mentor and train junior staff on all matters related to invoices. -Reconciling of all final invoices and closing the Purchase Order. -Creating Invoice Checklists with supporting evidence to support the payment of invoices. -Required to mentor junior staff. -Validating the project charge code to ensure payment of invoices on time. -Resolving all issues related to supplier invoices. -Processing and validation of supplier invoices received from Finance Shared Services.

-Attention to detail. -General Accounting knowledge. -Ability to work independently. -Knowledge of Accounts Payables practices. -Computer Literacy. -Experience with Purchasing software is an asset. -Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. -Effective Stakeholder Management. -Familiarity with Purchase Orders for the matching of invoices. -Minimum 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payables. -Effective communication skills. -Time Management.
