The Role

Overview

Design, install, and maintain mechanical systems for manufacturing sites in the Northwest.

Tasks

From concept to completion, you’ll bring ideas to life — solving problems, driving efficiency, and helping us deliver projects that exceed expectations. This is a hands-on, varied position where no two days are the same. You’ll work across multiple industrial sites in the Northwest, playing a key role in designing, developing, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems that improve performance and reliability. -Provide technical insight and support to the project management team. -Modify and optimise existing machinery and manufacturing lines. -Deliver mechanical solutions from initial design through to installation. -Repair and overhaul motors, pumps, valves, bearings, and shafts. -Fabricate, fit, and assemble components from technical drawings. -Operate fabrication tools and plant equipment (training/licences provided if required). -Work with utilities (compressed air, steam, water) and adjust piping systems. -Support, maintain, and enhance manufacturing equipment (particularly in FMCG and pharmaceutical environments).

What You Bring

If you’re a hands-on problem-solver with a passion for precision, innovation, and quality engineering, this is your chance to join a growing company that values skill, creativity, and continuous improvement. -MEWP/Scissor Lift experience or working at height certification. -Sound understanding of design principles, materials, and CAD drawings. -Strong bench fitting and machining skills. -Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional manner with clients. -IOSH certification. -Basic Microsoft Office skills for documentation and reporting. -Proven experience in a similar, fast-paced manufacturing environment. -Able to work independently and collaboratively, meeting tight deadlines. -Background in blue-chip manufacturing. -Skilled in problem-solving, RCA, and continuous improvement. -Time-served or apprentice-trained Mechanical or Electrical Engineer.
