The Role
Overview
Drive semi‑tankers transporting hazardous and non‑hazardous waste to disposal sites.

Tasks
-Prior to driving transportation equipment, prepares for daily trip by inspecting vehicle and equipment, fueling truck, and ensuring all equipment is in excellent operating order -Completes manifests, Company documents, and other marking and placarding documents for every load managed -Completes assigned routes as designated by Transport dispatchers with loaded tankers consisting of customer materials to be transported to a disposal facility -Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times -Maintains logbook for DOT compliance and State and Federal regulations -Acts as Company representative with courtesy towards every customer -Drives to the customer site to collect waste material and/or transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste material to facility for unloading and disposal -Loads freight and may climb tankers or pull hoses

What You Bring
-Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner -Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator -Tanker/Hazmat endorsement (required) -Ability to meet company driving qualifications with a CDL -3+ years of Class A CDL driving experience (preferred) -Ability to understand RCRA compliance standards, OSHA safety and DOT regulations -High-school diploma or equivalent (required) -1+ years of Class A CDL driving experience (required) -Ability to obtain valid endorsements as required -Excellent communication skills for interacting with both internal and external customers -Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
