Overview

Lead safety assessment teams for Cernavoda nuclear project.

Tasks

-Removing barriers that would impact deliverables to meet project requirements and priorities, working with the assigned staff to find solutions and optimizations. -Initiate and source appropriate resources through evaluation of resource demands. -Initiate and execute organizational initiatives to improve efficiency, employee engagement and to foster collaborative environment. -Forecasting resource demands for the assigned work scope, including skills, capabilities, and durations. Interfacing with clients and successfully delivering engineering products in accordance with customer specification and requirements. -Approving technical documents and deliverables prepared by staff working under them. -Performing administrative tasks, e.g., timesheet approvals, vacation approvals. -Planning and executing work consistent with quality, cost and schedule requirements. -Working with marketing and other corporate groups to maintain and improve client relationships and offerings. -Fostering a positive team environment where good performance is recognized and celebrated. -Providing technical advice to staff and as appropriate subject matter expertise to staff and management.

What You Bring

-Excellent knowledge of the CANDU design, including both NSP (especially safety systems) and BOP, with particular emphasis on the heat transport system (HTS) and plant control, containment and moderator systems would be an asset. -Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, qualified to seal engineering documents. -Knowledge of DSA, PSA methodologies, codes and standards (e.g. Canadian, US, IAEA). -Experience managing and/or performing multidisciplinary work with significant interfacing requirements with interfacing disciplines such as licensing, safety analysis, mechanical, electrical/I&C, process control, and civil engineering. -Broad knowledge of system operation, plant response and understanding of underlying reliability principles. -Broad knowledge of thermal-fluid sciences (fluid flow, heat transfers, multi-phase flow and thermodynamics). -Training and Qualifications Planning and Management. -Goal setting, Performance feedback and performance enhancement. -Familiarity and experience with some of the safety and licensing computer codes such as CATHENA, NUCIRC, GOTHIC and MAAP. -Engineering degree in a related engineering discipline. -8+ years of licensing experience in a nuclear project environment, including experience leading engineering teams.
