Overview

Tasks

-Oversee corrective actions for unacceptable construction work and support final inspections, punch lists, and project closeouts. -Witness and document critical tests, such as pressure tests, leak tests, and system start-ups. -Maintain detailed inspection reports, logs, and records for quality assurance and compliance tracking. -Coordinate with other inspectors and disciplines to resolve electrical system integration issues. -Conduct detailed inspections of electrical installations, materials, and equipment for adherence to contract specifications, codes, and safety standards. -Oversee testing, commissioning, and energization of electrical systems. -Review contractor shop drawings and submittals to confirm alignment with project specifications. -Immediately notify contractors and relevant officials of any potentially life-threatening safety conditions. -Conduct labor interviews to verify proper worker classification and wage compliance. -Monitor the installation of wiring, conduits, panels, lighting, and power systems to confirm proper execution. -Identify, document and report non-conformances, coordinating with contractors and engineers to implement corrective actions. -Verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and equipment installations to confirm adherence to project specifications.

What You Bring

-Certified Construction Quality Manager for Contractors (CQM-C) preferred -BA/BS in Construction, Electrical engineering + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -OSHA 10-hour training certification -Experience with Fire Alarm systems is desired -Eight (8) years building construction experience with emphasis on Quality Assurance/Quality Control with oversight responsibility for electrical systems -Experience in reviewing contractor shop drawings and submittals -Experience with local and national codes -Experience working in and around historic properties and occupied modernizations are desirable -Experience with construction methods and techniques -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software -Experience working on federal and high education managed construction projects
