The Role

Overview

Identify sales leads, build client relationships, and estimate fabrication projects.

Tasks

-Review project specifications, drawings, and requirements to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates. -Follow up on submitted bids to secure work and negotiate contract terms as needed. -Prepare proposals and bids that are competitive, clear, and aligned with company standards. -Proactively identify and pursue new fabrication sales opportunities through networking, outreach, and relationship building. -Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth. -Collaborate with the fabrication team to ensure estimates are realistic and achievable within production capacity. -Work closely with project managers and production to ensure smooth project handoffs and execution. -Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and other potential clients. -Provide technical guidance and support to customers regarding fabrication capabilities and solutions. -Track project opportunities and maintain an organized pipeline of potential jobs.

What You Bring

-Good math ability -OSHA 10 -Good analytical skills. -Experience preparing detailed cost estimates from drawings and specifications. -Computer proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and CRM tools. -Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and mechanical systems. -Ability to learn new systems and technologies -Understanding confidentiality -Experience in mechanical, piping, or sheet metal fabrication. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Good computer skills (knowledgeable with Microsoft Excel, Word, & Outlook) -Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines. -Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. -Proven experience in fabrication sales, mechanical contracting, or related industry. -Strong organizational skills -High School or GED Equivalent -Established network in the construction or mechanical contracting industry. -Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements. -Ability to handle a large volume of work. Ability to read and interpret technical documents. -Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents. -Valid Driver’s License.
