BIM Technician

Overview

Support BIM Manager with Revit/AutoCAD design and coordination for fire, safety, security systems

Tasks

-Ensure that any Information Technology ‘incidents' are effectively reported and resolved in a timely fashion (internally or externally) -Producing and amending CAD Designs, Constructions and As Fitted models using Revit and AutoCAD software -Producing clash detection reports -Taking an active role within the continuous improvement of company systems -Creating schematics and electrical wiring diagrams as needed (with guidance from Design Engineers) -Work to best safe practice and ensure actions do not cause harm unto themselves or others. -Designing life safety and security systems (with guidance from Design Engineers) -Creating take offs from models and presenting this within an Excel spreadsheet -Exporting DWF and other formats for collaboration internally and externally -Working to reduce, renew and recycle any waste on and off our sites including our offices. -Ensure all minimum training requirement are met in compliance with the relevant ISO standards. -Maintaining weekly model uploads for the live project that is being worked on -Employees will not tamper with any issued PPE or plant machinery that it may cause harm unto themselves or others. -Being involved in weekly BIM co-ordination meetings and actioning any issues -Maximise customer satisfaction with the services provided by GBE Converge -To be honest, trustworthy and to maintain strict confidentiality in performing duties relating to finance and tenders -Protect the environment and ensure use of toxic materials is avoided where possible. -Providing reports as appropriate to your Line Manager -Maintain a clear desk and screen at all times.

What You Bring

-Compliance to associated accreditation bodies schemes from NSI, BAFE, LPCB, FIA and others as required. -Compliance to all legislative and British Standard requirements -Experience using Revit MEP -Ability to work using your own initiative -Proficiency in a European language is desirable but not essential -Excellent attention to detail -Compliance to ensure no deliberate breaches in security information and/ or systems. -Computer literate and proficient in all core Microsoft Office packages -Ability to form good working relationships with colleagues, customers, and outside bodies -Good verbal and written communication skills -Experience using AutoDesk Construction Cloud -Previous experience within a related field -Prior experience of Revit & AutoCAD software
