Overview
Design and engineering of BESS and hybrid renewable energy systems

Tasks
-Coordination of inputs being provided by other departments and external groups, such as survey/geotechnical, transport and environmental. -Conducting engineering reviews, quality assurance checks and approval of design drawings, reports and other deliverables. -Provide quality advice and installation support where required during construction phase. -Acting as a point of contact with the vendors/client (on need base) during the various design phases -Develop ideas, effectively contribute to value engineering, and translate to cost optimized design, review to obtain best cost, best performance and reliability. -The day-to-day coordination with allocated design teams including civil engineers, instrumentation engineers and CAD Technicians. -To be ensure full compliance with quality and H&S systems. Operate within the company’s Design Management procedures. -Ensuring deliverables in agreed timelines and ensuring design meets all the client’s scoping requirements and compliance with technical specifications. -Preparation of FAT specification, test plan and review and interpretation of test reports

What You Bring
-Preference for candidates with experience of doing system studies. -Should have hands-on experience working on software like MATLAB Simulink & ETAP softwares. -Should have knowledge in design of hybrid renewable energy systems like Solar PV, Wind Energy systems, Battery Storage, etc. -Should possess experience in performing Root cause analysis and as a solution provider. -Familiarity with DC/DC converter operation. -Should have capability for preparation of technical specifications (including for tenders) and review tender responses. -Should have working knowledge of energy storage using BESS, including but not limited to, battery chemistry, duty cycling and performance (like Round Trip efficiency, Cycle Life, etc.), design optimization for efficiency and reliability, battery safety and battery inverter systems. -Knowledge in Panel architecture, Heat ventilation, Temperature rise calculation. -Should be competent in battery systems design, Inverter design, integration with MV/HV substation. -Strong knowledge in Battery Inverter logics and its operation related to various modes of operation like VAR mode, PF mode etc. -Should have working knowledge on softwares like MATLAB Script / Simulink / Homer / ETAP. Good knowledge in understanding of Control logics and simulation. -Proven project engineering and delivery experience of energy storage projects in an engineering or consulting environment
