Overview

Coordinate subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical work on an LNG project.

Tasks

-Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management. -Monitors and organizes subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractor’s management staff within the area of responsibility. -Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements -Develops planning construction methods and procedures. -Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents -Coordinates with Design on constructability issues. -Prepares construction drawings and sketches. -Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals. -Develops projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements

What You Bring

-Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast. -Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken. -Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as required that may include but not limited to nightshift or split shift -Knowledge of Bechtel’s Zero Accident Philosophy. Knowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisor’s ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes. -Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction is preferred. -Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications. -Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience -Excellent communication and problem-solving ability. -Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation relating to field activities. -Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to: extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.). -Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
