  • Integrate Hydrographic and Conditions Assessment Survey data in 3D GIS and VGIS platform
  • Prepare drawings and presentation using PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Revit and BIM Software
  • Participate in meetings with prospective clients, proposal preparations and establishment of budgets and schedules.
  • Define the scope of assigned projects and develop plan to accomplish projects. Monitor progress toward deliverable schedules. Compile project status reports.
  • Maintain close liaison with clients to resolve all project questions, such as technical requirements, completion requirements and billing inquiries.
  • Participate in marketing presentations and attend marketing meetings.
  • Review with manager all project changes, contract alterations, additional work requests, and all other factors which may significantly affect staffing requirements or budget.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules and coordinate with staff on resource management to meet short term and long-term business requirements.
  • Conduct site visits and existing infrastructure assessments to ensure compliance with design intent and quality standards.
  • Prepare renderings, conceptual layout, land-use plan integrating input from Port Planners and Design Engineers for demonstrating alternative conceptual layouts and innovative solutions.
  • Assist management in securing repeat business from existing clients and identifying new clients.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
  • Set up CADD standards and provide training to junior staff for ensuring adherence to the firm's quality and design standards.
  • Work with the Project Manager to: define the scope of multiple, complex projects and develop plan to accomplish project; monitor progress toward deliverable schedules; and compile project status reports.
  • Coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements.
  • Coordinate with the project managers, design staff and CAD technicians to produce and deliver Ports & Harbors projects deliverables including design drawings, specifications and reports
  • Track design and drawing changes, document them and confirm final design deliverables meet the client’s quality and project technical requirements
  • Assist in the collection of outstanding monies due from assigned clients.
  • Receive broad guidance from senior-level management relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and general parameters for execution. Manage people and processes to ensure effective execution. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
  • Review job cost sheets and prepare monthly billings. Ensure assigned projects stay within budget allocation.
  • Work with the Project Manager to review project changes, pending or anticipated alterations to the contract, additional work requests, and all other factors, which may significantly affect staffing requirements or budget.
  • Responsible for preparation, QA/QC review and validation of structural and civil design deliverables during the conceptual design, detail design, tender documentation, construction documentation and inspection reports.

  • Seven or more (7+) years of engineering or related land development experience to include professional project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with IDOT and AASHTO LRFD bridge design specifications.
  • Strong marketing/business development skills and mindset.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
  • Highly motivated and problem-solving attitude.
  • Strong sense of urgency in responding to constituents.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
