Tasks

-Participate in proposal preparation, as appropriate -Train, motivate, and provide mentoring and professional development for group staff -Participate in inter-geography pursuits as appropriate -Ensure monthly compliance with budget values for individual and group utilization -Develop staff resources in support of the requirements of the function, discipline, and service lines -Assign and monitor the performance of technical resources within the group -Maximize Vision as an effective project and resource management tool (i.e., project setup and updates, resource planning and utilization, budget monitoring). -Develop, maintain, and apply a rigorous program of quality assurance and quality control; be responsible for quality breaches; perform project post-mortems; design and apply corrective actions as required -Set and manage group goals in support of service line and corporate goals -Cultivate effective relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors -Participate in group hiring requisition process -Monitor sales goal compliance -Work with Vice President and Director to identify and develop market opportunities that are strategically aligned with client marketing plans -Coordinate resource availability with contract backlog; borrow or loan resources as required to ensure a balance of resources and backlog -Monitor progress of projects within the group -Manage the total flow of work through the group’s workforce, ensuring compliance with client expectations of cost, schedule, and quality -Participate in consultant selection interview preparation and rehearsals -Review and approve timesheets and expense reports on a weekly basis -Monitor Go/No Go deliberations for group opportunities, participate as appropriate

What You Bring

-Certification or registration in professional field, such as PE, with the ability to obtain registration in additional states, as required -4 to 10 years of experience in the technical consulting field, such as engineering, construction management, facilities management, architecture, sustainability, commissioning, or related field with progressive responsibilities and at least one year of experience in a technical leadership role -Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, sustainability, or relevant field or a combination or a Bachelor’s degree and equivalent experience -Direct experience in the power industry. Familiarity with the standards and quality demanded by power and utility clients is required.

Benefits

The pay range for this California position is $130,000.00- $160,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per California Senate Bill 1162. Base pay information is based on market location.
