The Role
Overview
Assist senior engineers in land development design, permitting, and construction tasks.

Tasks
-Assist in preparing engineering calculation reports including but not limited to: stormwater design, potable water design, sanitary sewer design, and irrigation design. -Attends project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants. -Takes sufficient notes at all meetings in order to organize efforts and follow through with requested deliverables -Participates in value engineering and basic cost estimating. -Performs calculations to analyze and design civil system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software. -Assists in the evaluation and selection of civil systems and materials. -Prepares and coordinates submittals to permitting entities -Assists in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to request for information, prepares site observation reports, and performs other construction administration tasks. -Takes initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the design team -Prepares and revises documentation required for land development permitting through local, state and federal jurisdictions. -Supports project team in development of design documentation, plans, and reports for relevant project design elements. -Performs quality reviews for documents in various project phases including construction plans, reviewing agency submittal packages, and engineering calculation reports. -Coordinates and keeps consistent communication with other disciplines to ensure entire design team has same design intent and is on schedule

What You Bring
-Effective communication skills and ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought -EI License is preferred. -1+ years of relevant experience preferred. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and willingness to learn relevant software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, StormCAD, WaterCAD, StormWise (ICPR4), etc. -Ability to visualize threedimensional concepts and layouts from diagrams or drawings -Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering. -Ready to step in and assist with any of design teams tasks in order to complete project on time and with quality design. -Selfstarter with diligent work ethic and strong attention to detail
