Overview

Perform layout, fit-up, cutting and welding per shop drawings using flux-core welding.

Tasks

-Position, layout, fit-up, cut and weld in accordance to shop drawings -Performing all job duties following company safety rules and proper use of assigned personal protective equipment. -Perform detailed quality checks following D1.1 standards -Operate tools and equipment, including torch, grinder, air arc, and overhead cranes -Interpret and apply AWS basic weld symbols and typical welding symbols

What You Bring

-Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength -Skilled in using basic hand and measurement tools -Must pass an AWS 2G flux core multi pass weld test on a one-inch plate -Ability to lift, carry, push and pulling up to 50 pounds frequently -Read and comprehend a Bill of Material to determine required materials -One (1) year or more of welding/fabrication work experience at meets or exceeds performance expectations -Willingness to work mandatory weekday and voluntary Saturday overtime -Experience with multi-pass with flux core wire feed welding -Capable of walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing as required
