  • Meet all performance and behavior expectations outlined in the company performance appraisal form or communicated by management.
  • Prepare Settlement Statements and other required miscellaneous documents.
  • Review contracts and prepare escrow instructions. Monitor the transaction, reviewing for completeness and compliance and ensuring all necessary information and documentation has been ordered and is accurate, i.e. payoff, HOA disclosures. Abstract documents, title reports, loan documentation, and other pertinent information and review for completeness and compliance.
  • Prepare and submit closed loan package, deposits and disbursement documentation, recording package, and/or commission package to appropriate department or entities.
  • Establish and maintain positive and productive work relationships with all staff, customers and business partners.
  • Facilitate closings, ensuring all documents and funds required to complete sales and loan transactions are properly prepared and executed.
  • Support the policies and procedures of the Officer or Manager whose desk you’re covering.
  • Follow the company HR Policy, the Code of Business Conduct and all subsidiary and department policies and procedures, including protecting confidential company information, attending work punctually and regularly, and following good safety practices in all activities.
  • Conduct the closing including explanation of all related documents and closing costs.
  • Perform any additional escrow-related responsibilities as requested or assigned.
  • Ensure that title issues are resolved prior to closing.
  • Respond to any customer inquiries in a timely, professional and courteous manner.

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work as a member in a team-oriented environment.
  • Position will require approval from the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) and EAFC (Escrow Agents Fidelity Corporation).
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently under deadline pressure, with ability to occasionally work extra hours during peak times of the month.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle and ability to travel daily through assigned territory on a scheduled or unscheduled basis.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience as an Escrow Officer.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess and maintain valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
  • High degree of integrity, self-motivated, organized, detail oriented, and possesses a strong aptitude for figures.
  • Notary Public preferred but not required.
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentation skills.
