Overview
Warehouse associate handling receiving, storage, order picking, and shipping duties

Tasks
-Ensure orders meet shipping and receiving deadlines -Maximize storage space for finish good materials and staging area -Identify and report any mechanical or operational difficulty with truck, car or other equipment -Ensure storage and distribution meet high housekeeping standards -Ensure department's continuous compliance with internal and external policies and procedures -Uses safe work practices and always reports hazardous conditions -Maximize FIFO and reduce scrap cost -Assist with all receiving and shipping functions -Ensure high quality loading workmanship -Ensure accurate order picking -Ensure proper operation of equipment and housekeeping standards are maintained and filed -Assist in cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and metrics are met -Show initiative in supporting safety, plant wide. Participate on committees as required -Complete special projects directed by distribution center manager and senior management

What You Bring
-The ability to withstand the rigors of working a 12(or 8)-hour rotating shift schedule. -The ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions. -Minimum of 1 year experience in warehouse and distribution -Good communication skills -Organizational skills -Use of hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling) -Forklift experience required, sit down, propane preferred -The ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold). -Time management -The ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively. -Basic computer skills -The ability to stand for extended periods -Ability to load and unload flatbeds and dry vans -Understanding of appointment system -High School Diploma required -The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment -The ability to reach or work above the shoulder
