Tasks

Job Summary: The Tacoma Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations at Certerra’s Tacoma office. This role ensures the effective delivery of services, fosters strong client relationships, and drives business growth. The Branch Manager leads the local team, manages resources, and ensures all projects are executed efficiently, on time, and in compliance with company standards and client expectations. Duties: The Branch Manager provides leadership across a diverse range of residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. This role includes supervising operations, ensuring adherence to technical standards and regulatory requirements, and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables. The manager collaborates closely with project managers, technical staff, and administrative personnel to resolve field issues, streamline processes, and support professional development within the team. Key responsibilities include tracking branch financial performance, preparing operational reports, maintaining certifications, and upholding a strong safety culture. The Branch Manager also engages directly with clients, builds long-term partnerships, and identifies new opportunities to expand services and grow the business in the Tacoma region.

What You Bring

Education/Qualifications: Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 3–5 years of managerial or supervisory experience in construction, geotechnical engineering, special inspections, materials testing, or a related technical field is strongly desired. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to manage personnel, oversee project execution, and coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Certifications/Licenses: Preferred qualifications include licensure as a Geotechnical Engineer or Washington Association of Building Officials Technical Director. Additionally, possession of relevant ICC/WABO certifications, including but not limited to Reinforced Concrete, Proprietary Anchors, Lateral Wood, Structural Masonry, and Structural Steel & Bolting are preferred. While certifications are not mandatory for the Branch Manager position, familiarity with technical inspection standards and certifications is essential for effective oversight. Certerra supports continued professional development and can assist with obtaining necessary certifications as appropriate.
