Tasks

-Implement and improve operational processes, including Go/No Go decisions, opportunity/account planning, and strategic account programs -Build and maintain long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and technical resource for key accounts -Promote and encourage younger staff from operational groups to participate in the business development process through project execution, technical societies, and relationship building with client peers -Coordinate with Group Managers and Division Managers to understand workload and operational constraints when pursuing work -Facilitate alignment between client needs and internal capabilities by coordinating input from technical and operational teams to shape pursuit strategies and project positioning -Work with the Division Manager to lead the execution of the division’s business development strategy, integrating sales team members and engaging in direct business development activities -Leverage contacts and relationships to help with strategic hiring and staff integration -Engage with professional and technical organizations to facilitate client relationships and potential employee engagement -Work with the Business Development Coordinator to monitor bookings against goals and communicate status to executive management; provide business development strategy information and results for executive review -Provide input, coaching, and feedback to Client Representatives and operational sellers; help develop discipline-focused teams -Successful development and implementation of strategic business plan for Environmental Services -Support Division operations leadership and Talent Acquisition team in identifying and pursuing potential strategic, key, and other hires in appropriate groups -Lead research efforts to understand market trends and client drivers within the region, using insights to shape strategic pursuit positioning and account plans -Serve as Senior Advisor or Project Principal during execution of select projects, ensuring operational excellence and profitability -Oversee CRM practices in Florida to ensure data quality and strategic usage; champion CRM adoption to enable division-wide visibility into client activity, support accountability, and drive data-informed decisions -Promote teamwork and alignment between all members of the marketing and Business Development team, including Client Service Leaders, Client Representatives, Group Managers, and Practice Leaders -Lead sales and marketing meetings for targeted growth areas, sharing information, fostering collaboration, and receiving feedback on progress monthly -Analyze the division’s current business development approach looking for opportunities to accelerate the growth of identified practices including Water Resources Planning and Design, Stormwater, and Environmental
