Tasks

-Coordinating public relations activities and community events. -Adhering to government communications protocols and other requirements. -Developing strategic alliances and partnerships. -Writing content to inform the public about project benefits, activities, and impacts. -Creating content and collaborating with creative graphics and/or video team. -Responsible for working closely with teams and on individual projects, often multiple projects at one time. -Managing project hotlines and be responsive to community questions and concerns

What You Bring

-Strong problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills. -Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. -Strong experience with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) -Ability to perform responsibilities with a significant degree of independence, initiative, creativity, and expert judgement. -Deadline and detail oriented. -Able to work in a constantly evolving, confidential environment, and to travel by use of a vehicle to multiple locations. -Talent for understanding, simplifying and effectively communicating complex information to diverse audiences. -Familiarity with digital communications, including websites, social media, signage, direct mail campaigns and graphic design. -Bilingual (Eng/Spa) a plus but not necessary -Willingness to travel to project locations.
