The Role

Overview

Hands‑on inspections, predictive and corrective maintenance of high‑rise building systems.

Tasks

-Change light bulbs and replace batteries. -Address clogged plumbing fixtures and drains. -Troubleshooting closed-loop systems including: humidifiers, chillers, steam boilers, RO systems, and water softeners. -Change switches and perform other minor electrical repairs. -Ensuring all building equipment is in good running order and relevant certifications are up to date -Provide after-hours coverage as needed. -Utilize BMS remote access to change set points. -Maintaining air conditioning systems and water chemistry. -Fix faucets and minor leaks. -Conduct detailed inspections to ensure that scheduled and periodic maintenance of building and equipment has been completed

What You Bring

-Familiar with Federal and Alberta Building Codes. -Be prepared to work on shifts and a rotational schedule. -Must be able to obtain Government Security Clearance. -Class 4 Power Engineering certification ABSA Certified or higher is required. -Achievement oriented and resourceful to meet service delivery goals. -Additional Trade tickets (Electrical/Plumbing/HVAC) are considered an asset. -Mechanically inclined and possess a “handyman” aptitude for minor building and systems repairs. -Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test, Fit-to-Work Test, and Extensive Background Check. -5 years of Troubleshooting experience with closed-loop systems including: humidifiers, chillers, steam boilers, RO systems, and water softeners. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills that enhance promoting good customer relations, discussing problems, making recommendations, -Valid class 5 driver’s license is required.
