Assess data and trends to provide assessments of data integrity, trends, and mechanisms related to water movement within surface water and groundwater systems.
Undertake integrated monitoring programs which include groundwater, surface water, soils and air quality sampling while following SLR procedures and industry best practice.
Perform field studies that may include hydrogeological site investigations, drilling programs, monitoring bore installations and hydraulic testing.
Maintain and utilise automated telemetry data capture tools.
Prepare quality factual reports based on field and laboratory data collected for or provided by clients.

Either have a completed a short course in hydrogeology or hold University qualifications (Bachelor Degree or higher) in Science or Engineering, specializing in Hydrogeology or a related field (remuneration packages will vary based on qualifications and experience).
Demonstrate great communication skills within project teams and with client representatives, site personnel, suppliers and laboratory personnel to support the smooth delivery of the field work.
Practical experience in the field of water management, with demonstrated skills in the areas of groundwater monitoring and sampling data analysis. Geological or geotechnical logging experience, groundwater bore drilling and construction, data analysis and report writing would be advantageous.
Mine site experience is highly regarded. Associated training certificates including Standard 11, Supervisor qualifications (S1S2S3G2) or other
Theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in groundwater data analysis and interpretation would be advantageous.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Willingness to travel domestically and remotely to undertake monitoring projects – often a week at a time
Australian citizenship/working rights are essential
Working knowledge of QLD groundwater legislation and policies, standards and guidelines, is highly desirable, but not a pre-requisition for the role.
Manual driver’s licence and previous 4WD experience and training is highly desirable
