Tasks

The Assistant Construction Superintendent supports the Construction Superintendent and project management team in overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring that construction projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. This role involves coordinating subcontractors, managing site logistics, maintaining documentation, and promoting a safe and efficient work environment. -Assist the Superintendent in planning, scheduling, and supervising all field activities. -Support implementation of quality assurance plans and punch list completion. -Participate in site meetings and provide updates on progress and challenges. -Maintain accurate project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, and inspections. -Prepare daily field reports, including manpower, equipment usage, and progress updates. -Ensure that site access, traffic, and logistics are managed effectively. -Report any issues or deviations to the Superintendent and assist with corrective actions. -Coordinate subcontractor activities to ensure work is performed safely and meets project specifications. -Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks. -Conduct daily inspections to ensure work meets quality and design standards. -Serve as a liaison between field personnel, project management, and subcontractors. -Monitor work progress, identify potential delays, and help implement corrective actions. -Assist with schedule updates and look-ahead planning. -Enforce safety policies and procedures on site. -Oversee delivery, storage, and use of materials and equipment. -Immediately report and document any incidents or near misses. -Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site in compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.

What You Bring

-Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. -2–5 years of experience in construction field operations or as a field engineer. -Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods. -OSHA 30 certification preferred. -Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.) a plus. -Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. -Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications. -Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed. -Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred). -Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and scheduling techniques.
