Tasks

-SWEPCO/PSO Focus: Asset Health Monitoring that supports Condition-Based Maintenance and Condition Based Renewal activities in the SWEPCO/PSO region. -SWEPCO/PSO EHV & HV Asset Health Monitoring retrofit and new install projects to monitor health of equipment -SWEPCO/PSO: Proactive grid monitoring through Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) and Power Quality (PQ) of Large Load data centers, cryptocurrency facilities, AI training facilities, and IBRs for LFOs induced into the system, along with providing subsequent data analysis and monitoring for impacted areas and customers. -Background system performance data, highlighting harmonics and frequencies before and after large load connections to the grid, supports large load customers and AEP in obtaining the insights and information necessary to engineer locations accurately.

-SWEPCO/PSO: TPL007 GIC/GMD monitoring -SWEPCO/PSO: Proactive monitoring to prevent EHV Transformer, CCVT and CB asset failures, and advance alarm analysis throughout the entire AEP footprint. -a Bachelor's degree in engineering OR engineering technology (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering OR engineering technology from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program. -VP or above may waive the requirement for a degree from a university with an Non-ABET accredited program -EHV Transformer Asset failure prevention, CCVT, CB, and analysis
