The Role

Overview

Support water and wastewater design, calculations, cost estimating, and site visits as an intern.

Tasks

-Support the performance of pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations. -Prepare construction and design cost estimates under the guidance of senior engineers. -Assist in performing pump calculations and developing system curves for sizing pumps. -Review construction shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documents. -Conduct site visits during design and construction to observe construction installations. -Assist in the planning and design of water and wastewater facility projects, including pump stations, lift stations, and treatment plants. -Participate in the planning and design of water and wastewater pipelines, pumping, storage, and treatment systems.

What You Bring

-Professional Licensure and Society Memberships -Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction management industry. -Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or NCEES equivalent. -Experience or interest in water/wastewater treatment and pumping facilities design is preferred. -Familiarity with production tools, or modeling and design software is a plus.
