Tasks

-Assist with pre-checking jobs, customer contacts, work with stores, distribution crews and applicable supervision to secure and provide the necessary tools and equipment for the crew personnel. -Inspect line work at completion of job. Must be able to read the designed job and construction map and identify standards that are not met. -Follow construction work from start to finish to stay within estimated costs and follow planned work dates. -Regularly complete job site observations. -Investigate damage complaints and prepare reports detailing findings and make recommendations to resolve complaints. -Promote and enforce the Company's Accident Prevention, Safety and Health Programs, and assist line crews on jobs as required for work area protection and ground worker assistance. -Support service restoration activities and assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Some travel required to assist with Storm Restoration when needed. Must be available to work overtime when Storm Restoration is needed in the Fort Wayne area. -Support technical training needs when requested and coordinate training with technical trainers if needed. Conduct distribution line training as needed.
