Maintenance Technician

Overview

Perform maintenance repairs and service requests for multifamily apartments.

Tasks

-Participates in "on call" rotation and responds to emergency calls as needed. -Responsible for completing all service requests as assigned. -Be aware of and operate within company safety policies at all times. -Escalate unresolved service issues to the Service Director. -Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment. -Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company. -Assists in preventive maintenance projects. -Responsible for the completion of all make-ready units. -Adhere to all company policies including but not limited to safety and Fair Housing. -Responsible for supplying all personal tools. -Responsible for positive communications with residents, vendors, and co-workers.

What You Bring

-Work in a variety of conditions, including both indoors and outdoors; frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. -Strong sensory skills such as good eyesight, good hearing; ability to comprehend and speak. -Working knowledge of property systems such as Yardi, Entrata, and HappyCo preferred. -Strong constant finger and hand dexterity with ability to grasp/turn, touch, feel, and reach. -Constant walking, standing, and sitting alternately; frequent climbing of stairs; occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, squatting, pushing/pulling, and reaching above shoulders. -Three years of experience in apartment maintenance preferred. -Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred. -Depending on the property, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance may be required. -Proficient in use of computers and online applications. -Proficient in the following areas: plumbing, HVAC, electrical and appliance repair. -Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; Occasionally lift and/or move 50 lbs or more. -HVAC experience with certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal).
