Tasks

-Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. -Oversees the overall safety of all personnel working at, or visiting the site. -Supervises, coordinates and monitors plant activities to include the maintenance of equipment. -Maintains an effective system of communications with supervisors and customers service -Investigates abnormal operating events, or equipment failures to determine the cause, and makes adjustments, repairs and/or modifications, as needed. -Analyses operational data and reconfigures operating areas as necessary to provide adequate, economical service -Ensures conformance with policies and procedures, safety regulations, and local, State and Federal laws and regulations. -Makes recommendations for workforce planning, hiring, training, development, work allocation, conflict resolution, performance evaluations and separations. -Facilitates regular staff meetings and safety toolbox talks. -Ensures proper documentation of operations activities in logs and/or incident reports. -Regularly communicates Company financial goals and objectives to direct reports, and ensures they are performing activities daily that support those goals. -Supports and assists personnel in achieving timely and efficient production schedules
