Corporate Sustainability Officer

Overview

Integrate sustainability across Council operations, manage audits, data, projects, and engagement.

Tasks

-Analyse and report on corporate sustainability indicators to inform decision-making -Oversee contracted energy and water efficiency projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery -Collaborate with service units to implement sustainability measures and staff engagement programs -Coordinate environmental audits, retrofits and operational changes across Council facilities and services -Manage Council’s environmental sustainability data platform and ensure accurate tracking of utility usage and emissions

What You Bring

-Strong ability to influence behavioural change through environmental education -High-level interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills -Current Class C Driver’s Licence -Proficiency in data analysis, database management and reporting, particularly utility and emissions data -Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, environmental management or a related discipline -Proven project management experience including budgeting and contracts -Advanced computer literacy including trend analysis and data interpretation
