Identify and Obtain New Projects

  • Coordinate and assist with revisions and drawing markups.
  • Additional hours may be required to meet project deadlines and/ or in the evenings for school board presentations, meetings, and overnight travel may also be required.
  • Work with the BDM to cultivate relationships with the customer to identify needs and propose effective solutions.
  • Key presenter of the architectural design during the RFQ/ RFP selection phase, and is a significant factor for PSI being selected.
  • Collaboration – Collaborate effectively with others as part of a team to deliver a high quality, high value project.
  • Leads efforts for the architectural Physical Conditions Assessment, Programming, and Conceptual Design aspects of the Facility Study.
  • Self-Directive – Determines, manages, and owns day-to-day activities and schedules.
  • Provides “Referendum” support on projects in states where applicable.
  • Develop and maintain a strong client relationship.
  • Collaborate with BDM and team members in the development of the proposal, interviews, meetings, and presentations.
  • Sets the design direction for the project along with the Project Architect and the Design Leader.
  • Conduct code evaluations.
  • Oversee the production efforts on projects/designs.
  • Develop sketches and preliminary design drawings.
  • Communicate with outside consultants, including developing Professional Service Agreements
  • Assists the Business Development Manager (BDM) in creating “value-added proposition” for the owner.
  • Present at school board meetings on project updates.
  • Communication – Apply high level technical expertise with ability to discuss and present to non-technological clients so they understand and are comfortable with the proposed solutions in such a way that gains their confidence and trust.
  • Create Facility Studies, address physical conditions assessments, and educational programming.
  • Coordinates and assists the estimating department in the development of conceptual-level budget estimates.
  • Collaborate and partner with the Business Development Manager (BDM) in the identification and qualifications of potential projects.
  • Attend and collaborate in projects, key client meetings, and presentations.

The Principal Architect/ Project Development Leader will have intensive collaboration with the Business Development Managers to identify potential projects, cultivate client relationships, and develop the architectural space needs for a client. Must be local to Denver, CO.

  • Professional degree from NAAB accredited college or university.
  • Continuous Learning – Is a continuous learner focused on contact improvement; embraces new technologies.
  • Specialized Expertise – Thorough understanding of the K-12 market with ability to develop big picture goals clearly; developing detailed, accurate plans to achieve the desired results within the Owner’s defined scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Strong public speaking/ client facing inter-relationship skills.
  • Ability to obtain Architectural registration in states where the projects are conducted.
  • Minimum of 10 years of architectural experience.
  • Analytical – Listen effectively, analyze, hear details, and be thorough uncovering customer needs to deliver them the best value proposition.
  • Experience in successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience focused on local government projects.
