The Role
Overview
Perform repairs & maintenance on student properties, focusing on plumbing & trade tasks.

Tasks
-Accountable for the quality of the maintenance and repair work delivered. -Accountable for raising any maintenance, repair concerns that they identify when performing the tasks that they have been assigned. -Carrying out dynamic risk assessments to ensure that they are in a safe working environment and escalating issues to their line management. -Adhering to Health and Safety legislation, and a safe and secure working environment. -Plastering repairs -Ensuring that the work delivered meets the correct Unite Students standard. -Completing all digital job tickets required for the works they deliver, raising follow on works orders where necessary and to be compliant with Unite Students policies and procedures.

What You Bring
-Painting and Decorating -Good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. -NVQ L2 in plumbing desirable -Be competent and qualified to safely operate tools and equipment. -Desirable: relevant construction and facilities management qualifications -NVQ L2 in other related skills would be useful, but not essential -Have relevant post experience. -Understanding of safe systems of work -Ability to work at pace whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. -Ability to offer flexibility in working hours and to take part in the on-call rota. -Ability to work contracted hours over a 5/7 working pattern. -Understanding of Health and Safety responsibilities -Minimum of entry level skills in plumbing to deliver general duties and minor repairs.
