Overview

Install, maintain, repair electrical systems on commercial/defence vessels.

Tasks

-Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate and efficient electrical installations. -Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components on board commercial and defence vessels, including lighting, navigation, propulsion, and communication systems. -Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and fault-finding on electrical equipment, ensuring timely and effective repairs. -Install and connect power distribution boards, control panels, and circuit protection devices, ensuring proper configuration and functionality. -Adhere to WHS (Work Health and Safety) procedures and electrical safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety on board and in the shipyard. -Collaborate with engineering, mechanical, and shipbuilding teams to support integrated system installations and commissioning activities.

What You Bring

-Holds a valid “A” Grade Electrical License with Mechanic Endorsement (or fitter where permitted) -First Aid / EWP -Possess good time management skills and ability to meet set targets. -Previous experience in Defence, Government or Marine / Ship Repair or Heavy Industry -Capable of performing work in a safe and acceptable manner -HR Licenses - Forklift -Demonstrate adequate theoretical knowledge -Ability to use standard tools and equipment related to the trade
