The Role
Overview
Oversee maintenance, repairs, and staff for multifamily residential properties.

Tasks
-Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work -Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance -Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.) -Lead and train the team by example, and by doing. -Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance -Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations) -Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.) -Supervise and provide training to maintenance technician(s). -Monitor inventory of materials and equipment -Troubleshoot and take the appropriate action to repair and/or restore service within the quality and time standards established by the Company. -Provide quick and courteous response to resident requests for maintenance service, to include direction of maintenance technician and/or hands-on completion of the service request yourself. -Participate in recruitment, selection, and maintenance training for maintenance technician(s). -Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations

What You Bring
-Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, plumbing, general carpentry, and HVAC) -Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time. -Understanding of budgeting and performance management -Excellent planning and leadership abilities -Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP or HVAC certified) are preferred -Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed. -CFC certification with a minimum of type 2 -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance. -High school diploma; Degree from a vocational school will be a plus -Computer savvy, proficient in basic computer skills, (emails, PO entries) -Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces. -10+ years of experience as maintenance technician and/or minimum of 5+ years in a supervisor role -An eye for detail -Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations
