Tasks

-Coordinate preconstruction estimating and manage production of bid packages. -Maintain and continuously improve internal bid processes and coordination. -Review and support the preparation of bid/proposal documents, including schedules and subcontractor solicitations. -Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors across the region. -Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal procurement codes and regulations. -Define and communicate scopes of work to subcontractors to ensure accurate and complete bid coverage. -Conduct site visits to validate preconstruction assumptions and compare estimates to real-world conditions. -Attend pre-bid meetings to assess project scope, required resources, competition, and client expectations. -Lead and manage the development of detailed cost estimates to support project success and profitability. -Maintain and update historical cost data for future benchmarking and reference. -Oversee and facilitate scope of work analysis, material procurement, and bid evaluations. -Develop proposal and project execution strategies that set up operations teams for success. -Lead project buy-out as needed, collaborating with project managers to ensure smooth handoffs.

What You Bring

-Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards. -Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to construction bidding. -Proficiency with construction estimating software and digital tools. -Extensive experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial or large-scale projects. -Proven leadership and team management experience. -Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. -Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
