DSEAR Technician

Overview

Perform remedial work, inspections and documentation to ensure DSEAR compliance.

Tasks

-Supporting inspections at site and asset level to identify risks and ensure regulatory compliance -Carrying out remedial work to resolve DSEAR-related issues and risk on electrical assets -Promoting and upholding a positive safety culture in line with Anglian Water’s behavioural safety principles -Creating and maintaining accurate technical documentation for all completed work -Participating in audits and encouraging best practice across the business -Providing technical advice, coaching, and guidance to operational teams -Assisting DSEAR Engineers with risk assessments and hazardous area classifications -Replacement of ATEX electrical equipment

What You Bring

-Ability to plan and prioritise workload independently -Experience of electrical work in an industrial environment -Previous experience supporting site inspections, risk assessments, or process safety initiatives -Fully qualified electrician (ONC/OND/NVQ3 or equivalent) -Experience working in hazardous environments -A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to safe working practices -CompEX 01-04 or 09-10 certification, or willingness to work towards it -Confidence using Microsoft Office tools to document and present technical information -Strong understanding of DSEAR principles and hazardous area documentation -Excellent communication and report-writing skills
